Hey, glad you grabbed a copy of my notes on getting web work fast – this week. I’d love to hear from you about what you’ve learned in the notes, any questions or concerns you have and if possible, tell me what you plan to do. And then update me again when you actually do it! Getting Web Design Clients at the WordPress Web Designer Meetup Group in Auckland

It’s a week before I head back to the states and I figured I’d host a meetup.com group to see who is doing what and if I/we can’t help each other improve our efforts to secure more clients. (For any of you from the meeting, I posted a 25% code to the meetup group description. It’s 25kevin25 if you want to use it to save about $25 on the guide. I’ll let it go for two days. Enjoy!) In the book there are some great bits of advice on that subject as well. I love diagrams – especially in a sea of text. Two diagrams I especially found invaluable were the marketing funnel and the Wealthy Triangle TM….

Web Designer Business Book Review: The Designer’s Guide to Marketing and Pricing

I reviewed Ilise Benun’s book, The Designer’s Guide to Marketing and Pricing, reading it cover to cover for the second time this year last week. It’s a total must have for freelancing web designers in business. Before I tell you what I think, just a note, this is my personal review. It’s completely coming from my perspective as a freelance web designer, and is just that – my opinion only. Others are likely to have other experiences. My Likes Little real stories that pop up The sooner I can take ideas and concepts to reality, the more confidence I get…
