Freelance Web Designer Stories

Hey guys and gals, let me throw out some fun discussion with these three questions

1. What’s been the hardest part in your business?

2. What one big hurdle have you have successfully jumped?

3. In the future, what’s one achievement that would totally excite you?

I’d love to hear your story.

    Hi Kenn,

I just recently found your blog and I find it absolutely interesting. I will keep reading the blog and will probably send you a message. 🙂

Anyways to answer the questions above:

    1) The hardest part would be marketing. I am having a hard time right now to market my business. It’s only been a week though since my launch. I will keep writing articles on my blogs and hopefully be able to guest post on a reputable blog.

    2) Biggest hurdle would be to finally launch my website. I have been freelancing for years but just recently got around to work on my main website and look for new clients.

    3) Successfully launching my own product. 🙂

      Hi Aljiro.

Welcome to my blog and thanks for your comments.

One of the hardest things I found was creating my own website. I was very critical. Looking back, I would completely suggest doing something ultra simple and free like a blog at to just get going. But if I know designers we are perfectionists!

You may find my “Get Web Design Clients Galore” guide very eye-opening to what’s possible in your business.

I wish you the best on your journey – interesting times.

I like the suit and tie picture. Classic!

Hi Ken. I agree that creating your own site is very hard. It’s hard to not be perfectionist about your own brand and image. Fortunately I spent the last months working on and now I’m ready to get out there and find me some clients. If you have the time maybe you can take a look at my site and tell me what you think. 🙂

I will be getting your ebook. The free stuff you use for listbuilding is awesome! Thanks. I look forward to the excellent material you have written. I’ve been reading it and I have opened my eyes to the changes I can make and the possibilities.

Thank you and I wish you the best with your product and business!

PS. I like the pic I have too but I look to get a more a casual shot of me for my about page. Thanks for noticing.
